Due to the Covid shut down of 20-21 , many preschool-aged children have spent half their life without social interaction. Social and language skills have been greatly impacted. Young children are hesitant to learn and interact. Colorful mini objects that that are bright and shiny and small are non threatening ways to entice little ones to talk and play. Imagine learning about associations using a small dog and a pile of objects from which you could choose a bone, a dog dish, a leash, a dog bed etc. The child can then pretend being a dog and use those tools while learning the vocabulary and connections beyond what a picture could teach. It creates a hands-on learning situation without the smell or energy of a live animal! The categories, associations, and positional boxes will teach them these skills while using activity mats and realistic miniatures that build skills in size comparison, sorting and matching—hands on. The The Lego sets of animals, people and story sets will encourage my preschoolers to increase their vocabulary and literacy skills by creating stories with the miniature props and characters. Colorful manipulatives bring excitement and enthusiasm to learning in any setting. Anything small enough to fit in a preschoolers hand becomes a learning adventure.
