I work at a high school that just moved freshman into the school. The freshman are feeling lost in the large community. They have been searching for a place that will help them celebrate their small accomplishments. The resources in my project are mainly for me to create a motivational store in my room. I find myself spending money buying healthy snacks and small fidget toys monthly for my class. My students are always hungry and are at this time lacking motivation. The incentives vary from a pop its to a healthy snack that students need to get through the day with energy. I want to help my students leave my classroom with motivation to do well in their next class. The items I choose are food or incentives that will help me start a class store to help motivate my students. I have a class incentive program for students who master skills and are on track behavior wise in class. Students need this motivation daily. I keep my store stocked, but am finding it hard to supply everything I need this year on my own finances; with rising prices on food and small toys. I need support from my community to support me in my classroom.
