My students love having new and exciting books to read in their small groups; it gives them time to practice conversation skills and helps them get more invested in the books. I've seen my students become invested readers and want to keep meeting to read and discuss their books more in depth with each other. This project will help fund more modern books for their reading groups and keep them invested in the stories, creating a passion for reading to last a lifetime! These groups help them meet their potential in ways they didn't know they could. By giving them more modern books they actually want to read they can continue developing these life skills for now and on to the future!

About my class
