In a world of little tolerance for differences, my little kiddos will have opportunities to dress up and use their imagination in dramatic play to "walk" in another's shoes. As they engage in dramatic play, they will develop communication skills, use their imagination, create different situations with their peers and learn empathy as they discover the diversity around their world. Children love to dress up and play "pretend." As my kiddos do this, they can learn that there are people of all colors, shapes, sizes and voice, increasing own's empathy.
