These supplies will provide a refuge for students experiencing anxiety and self-regulation difficulties. Each item has been carefully selected to provide a relaxing environment where students can calm jitters with crafts, fidget toys, and movement (yoga), check out books to learn more about their social-emotional difficulties, and find engaging games to encourage social skill development. Anxiety and depression rates continue to be on the rise among school-age children (CDC reports 1 in 10). A designated location where students with these symptoms can go is imperative for positive learning outcomes. This project is designed to stock a room in our school for students to go when they need self-regulating support.
