COVID-19 has impacted students' motivation to learn, especially when taught using traditional methods. I would like to help my students understand how the math they are learning in class can translate into electrical circuits. These materials will be used primarily with high school sophomores and juniors to reignite their love for mathematics that was lost during the pandemic. Students will learn electronics basics like Ohm's Law and Kirchhoff’s Voltage and Current Laws which are heavily based on the algebra they are learning in the class. We will then apply the electronics knowledge they have learned and build a small synthesizer that they will get to keep as a reminder that math can be exciting and that learning can be fun, even during COVID.
