Because my classroom is a multi-grade K-6 room, my students need an area to meet together as a grade with the teacher. They need a place where they can collaborate with each other on small group projects and a place where they can meet with the teacher one-on-one. We have several students who need extra help to regain grade-level proficiency as they missed over a full year of public education due to Covid. A writing easel and small group table will make for a cozy and comfortable meeting area where we will not distract the other grades from working independently at their desks.
