My class of 33 currently has to borrow Chromebooks from other classes when we want to use technology for assignments. In 5th grade, we have multiple online lessons, applications and assignments we use every day in the classroom. Not having 1 to 1 makes for a challenge, and sharing Chromebooks among grade levels, especially with taking care to make sure there is no spreading of germs from class to class, can be difficult to accomplish. Having even three extra Chromebooks will help my students complete assignments I assign online each day. It will also be a great help for students who need to finish up homework from the night before, and may not have technology available at home.
