I have chosen puzzles to create Leader In Me lessons to teach and encourage students to use synergy working together to succeed in our classroom. Items have been included to encourage my students to display their work such as velcro and push pins. The stools are for our small group working area where students work together as peer tutors and tutees encouraging one another in their learning and growth. The books are box sets I don't have in our classroom library that will help some of our struggling readers. The chairs are to help us be comfy when we are enjoying our silent reading time. The highlighters are for students to mark up their close reads in preparing them for writing summaries and making connections when we are reading. When I mark my students writing material and math tests, I like to use colorful pens to liven their pages up in a positive way. We use white board most days during our math lessons. I'm excited to have specific white boards which will help with the coordinate system. The place value boards will encourage learning math core being able to write numbers in multiple forms and help solidify the place value system for struggling learners. The legos help in teaching science core using the scientific process to engineer projects created for a certain purpose. Legos are also used to motivate students to get their work done.
