It's no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted student behaviors in the classroom. If my project is funded, it will help my students through pandemic-impacted learning because I know my students respond extremely well to a token-economy behavior reward system. However, the rewards (candy) for that system is expensive. By funding my project, you'll be helping 6th-8th graders with incentives to do the hard work required in my debate and creative writing classes. This funding will make a huge impact on helping me re-train my students to have the kind of behaviors expected in school that were lost because of the pandemic.
