Having a more organized classroom makes the learning environment friendlier and less chaotic. Having a place for all my papers and copies helps me be more available for students' needs, more quickly. It also signals to students that I take my job seriously! For example, if a student needs to retake a test, having a special place for my older materials helps me give the student what he or she needs. Another example is makeup work for a student who missed some school. Having a place to put extra papers helps me be ready to help students as soon as they ask for it.
