My students need hands-on learning to comprehend the world around them. They like different things, but I have chosen objects that will help all my students learn and increase their interest in everything they do. With the help of a globe, my students will understand how big the world is, and how we live affects other people. They will use science kits to understand natural phenomena that might otherwise scare them. Knowledge is the best cure for fear. These science kits will also fan the flame of their existing passion in their varied obsessions with knowing 'why'. My students also enjoy learning about the past, and how people lived so differently than how we live today. The Little House on the Prairie series, for example, has been on my students' wish list since August.
