Dungeons and Dragons is a game about coming together to solve issues as a team. With this game, I can give my students to opportunity to explore business practices in a safe, low-risk, hypothetical situation. Dungeons and Dragons can also help students develop socio-emotional learning with their peers. Simon Sinek's "The Infinite Game" helps students learn about business ethics and practices that can have long-term positive effects in their community. J. Zachary Pike's "Orconimcs" gives a glimpse into how economics can play out in a fantasy setting, whether for good or ill. Having been a grown-up playing D&D, I can attest to the power of communal story-telling and opportunities to learn to see things from a different point of view. D&D also pushes students to think critically about situations and creatively problem solve.
