Many of the art projects we do in each grade require the use of a light box or light pad. We use these for tracing, duplicating images and creating symmetry in art projects. Students use these light pads for many different types of projects ranging from illustrations to printmaking. Currently we only have a couple light pads that the students have to share and work very closely to each other to use. Having a set of light pads would allow more students to use them at one time and to be able to do so at a safe distance from each other. Because this set is portable my students will be able to work at their desks and we will be able to use them for other creative endeavors throughout the year. These tools will allow me to teach a wider range of projects to my students and will serve many students over several years.
