These resources directly relate to help my kindergarteners continue their social-emotional and academic learning in light of COVID-19 as they navigate building oral language skills, developing social-emotional maturity that is developmentally appropriate, growing in their phonological and phonemic awareness, as well as creating a safe and inviting environment that makes them excited to come to school each day. COVID-19 has exasperated my students' needs for connection, communication, and learning the skills necessary to regulate their emotions and sensory inputs so they can be successful academically. In light of current events, now more than ever it is critical that students feel welcome and eager to come to school each day.
