Headphones will make it possible to listen to media without hearing your neighbor’s audio. With Covid, I have worked very hard to get tutorials on Canvas for all my assignments. With feedback from other teachers and students, I believe allowing my students to use headphones to follow step-by-step directions will be a better learning experience for them. Allowing students to learn at their own pace will be a tremendous benefit to the students. It will make learning less frustrating and allow them to take charge of their learning. It will provide students with the accommodations they need. With this greater productivity, students will have more time to learn additional material in class. Headphones will also benefit students who are absent for longer periods of time for Covid and do not have the resources at home to complete assignments. With the headphones, they can access the step-by-step directions at their own pass without distractions around them from other students doing the same thing etc. iPad will help with learning, communication, and creating art. There are several “still life” setups that I would like to do with my students that require an iPad. Adding an iPad would allow my curriculum to expand, giving students more experience and greater learning opportunities. Covid has opened my eyes to many protentional lessons that I could be adding to the classroom for the benefit of the students. Covid has forced us to “think outside the box”. An iPad is a step to bringing fun, exciting, and new learning opportunities to the students. Creating a fun setup to take pictures is a great way to engage students in learning thus helping them to increase their investment in the class and their overall academic achievement.
