We are seeking fidget materials to increase our focus and understanding. As the year has progressed, I have noticed a handful of my students fidget with their feet, hands, and desks. They need an outlet for this energy. My students are between the ages of 6 and 8 and, of course, have lots of energy and are looking to move around all day long. However, the environment of school does not allow constant movement, and there are times that students need to sit still. Having pop-its when blending and segmenting allows for kinesthetic learning. Spinners, chair bands, and monkey bands encourage student focus without distracting others and while still using their extra energy in a productive fashion. I want to provide one more way for students to stay focused and increase flexibility in my class. Each student has their own need, and I aim to help every single student that walks through my door in any way that I can.
