Don’t worry, these rats are family! We recently adopted two adorable fancy rats as classroom pets. The primary purpose of having these critters is to support students who struggle with chronic absences and mental health. We also want to help our students learn responsibility by researching and assisting in proper caretaking. We have already observed improvements in student attendance and motivation! HOWEVER, we have quickly realized the need for increased air purification in our classroom due to the animals’ natural odors and allergens. This air purifier will ensure our classroom remains a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all learners!
