My kindergarten students are using i-Ready and Seesaw on a daily basis in the classroom, along with other educational technology. These programs are used primarily during independent work time while I am doing small group instruction. These programs are one of the best ways to make sure students are doing educational and beneficial activities during independent work times. These programs also help my students to learn skills that they are struggling with, sometimes in part to missing school due to the pandemic. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, many of my students have had to utilize remote learning this year, and many more may need to in the future. We are using devices frequently in class to make sure that all of my students know how to use the technology If they are quarantined they know how to use the programs they will need to use at home to stay up with what we are learning in the classroom. We are lucky to have iPads and Chromebooks in our classroom, enough for almost all of our class to have one at the same time. We have some resources to charge our Chromebooks, but not enough to charge all of our devices. By having more places to charge our devices it would allow us to charge all of our devices at once. We are in need of good headphones also that adjust well to our heads, and have nice cords that won't break. It is hard to hear in our classroom with some many students on devices. The cheap headphones that some of us have are breaking or already broken. These nice headphones will allow us to hear when everyone is on a device, and the headphones will be able to adjust to our smaller heads.
