Some of my students are new immigrants from China. Others are of Chinese heritage. Most of them involve the Chinese Lunar New Year 2022 celebration in school. This activity will give students opportunities to practice Chinese cultures, and also give students opportunities to learn, discover, explore, thrive culturally, and gain confidence. My students have gleefully practiced singing, dancing, and designing the Lunar New Year show every day after school since November. We need wireless microphone headsets and microphone stands for singing performances and the MC. We need several microphone covers due to COVID-19 safety precautions. We need a karaoke machine for the singing performances, and we will continue using it for school-wide singing contests. We need the USB Audio Interface for when we record videos for the show. We need the fake fruit, lanterns, and lab coats as props and to decorate the stage. My students are practicing with joy as they proudly reveal their identities and discover the connection with other cultures. They are trying their best for the Chinese Lunar New Year 2022 celebration! Please help me bring this show to life! If we don't get these supplies, then the show can't go on.
