These materials are aligned with our curriculum and will support students better their reading skills. They are ideal for close reading, classroom discussion, informational texts use, and general background knowledge. The Scholastic News magazines will be use in print in the classroom and digitally at home. In 5th grade, we are working with complex texts which allow students to improve their reading skills. The use of these materials will give students additional tools and will help them be at grade level. Students need the different categories and subjects to be proficient and to be knowledgeable in many areas and domains.
