The project will be a mixed media collage designed by the students. The students will choose paints and other items to cover their canvas, they will also learn how to appropriately express themselves, their wants and needs and gain motor skills and coordination. We will be using adaptive paint brushes to give access to art as an expressive tool for students in a non-verbal autistic school program. These adaptive brushes and paints will help students with different fine motor skills and abilities to express themselves in ways they might not otherwise be able to.
