This full color book is a beautiful, hardcover, informational text that provides coverage of the world-wide rescue of young people who were of similar age as my students. It is more expensive than our typical texts, which is why we need this support. Reading this book will help my students imagine, empathize, and celebrate an emotional journey that touched people around the world. All Thirteen is a great exemplar of non-fiction reading that will hopefully inspire my students in their critical thinking and study of other cultures without being drab and boring! I hope this reading experience will evoke a new sense of excitement for debating environmental studies, decision-making, empathy, and maturation as we venture through the personal accounts of the young people and first-responders involved.
