These materials give students opportunity to build on reading and spelling by having hands on materials. With the magnetic board, students that struggle with fine motor skills and cannot write can still learn how to spell. The cash register and bank atm will aide students in building functional math skills such as: how much money they will need to buy something, how to make change if they ever wanted to have a job as a cashier. The books will help students that have yet learned to read to be given books at their reading level so they can start practicing. All these materials will be used in a repeated format. The more students get exposed the these materials on daily basis, the more likely they will learn literacy skills.
