The materials for this project will allow students to have hands on learning experiences with science magazines. Students will be able to see colorful photographs that go hand in hand with what they are learning in the classroom. This learning is extended to monthly classroom field trips. The lessons from the Scholastic Let's Find Out magazines are integrated with reading, writing, science and math common core curriculum. The individual take home magazines will also allow students to share what they learned in school with families at home. Each time children share what they have learned at school with a family member their confidence levels increase significantly.
