I am requesting basic art supplies of water color and tempera paints, oil and chalk pastels and construction paper. These art supplies will be used weekly, they will enhance students academic learning while allowing them to enjoy activities that many not be offered through out the day. Art education is just as important as academics. Art can also help students improve their sense of self confidence, focus, and listening skills. With these new art supplies, my students will be introduced to a wide of variety of art styles, that will allow them to develop a deeper sense of self and cultural understanding. Eventually, they will be able to explore art styles that interest them. Hoping to create students that have a life long love of art while developing a possible means to communicate their often complex thoughts and feeling.
