My growing classroom library is a place for my students to feed their interests and reading abilities. While they love the few books that are currently there, I need to provide them with more current selections that include heroes and inventors that inspire and call to the beautiful diverse group of learners I teach. With the purchase of these new books, when my students go to exchange their "Read-To-Self" books, they will see themselves reflected in the titles chosen; additionally, they will have access to high interest level books that are appropriate for their (growing) reading abilities. Since I moved from fifth to second grade, my personal classroom library is in need of a re-haul to meet the needs of my newest readers. This DonorsChoose project helps support the revamp to the books my students read everyday.
