I am very new to teaching. In September, 2021, I decided to change careers and become a substitute teacher! A few months after joining my school team, a math teacher position opened up, which I was trusted to fill in December! So, with only two months of teaching under my belt, I've jumped in full steam ahead, ready and excited to teach 7th and 8th graders! I am very interested in the opinion of my students, to find out ways that we can improve the classroom to be a more inviting learning environment. My students said they want cozy and warm vibes, which is what led me to Donors Choose! Being new to teaching, I sadly don't have my own supplies to bring in to an already bare classroom. I want to make the classroom as inviting and welcoming for my students as possible, so that it's a room they can be excited to enter everyday to learn!
