The students at Vaux are excited to try new instruments and art tools that they have never been exposed to before. Currently, there are materials including paint, markers, ukeleles and pianos for students to create with, but there is a high demand for more musical instruments and art tools to be added to the Maker Space. By donating to this project, students will have access to music equipment including a violin, a guitar, a drum kit and a MIDI controller. Students will also have access to art tools including a loom and drawing tablets. These supplies give students more opportunities to explore their passions in music and art. First and foremost, the goal of the Maker Space is to provide opportunity through accessibility. Students can utilize these tools to pick up a new skill or even expand their career interests, whether it be running a fashion business or being a world class musical artist.
