These materials will provide my students with hands-on practice to master skills in English Language Arts such as manipulating sounds, rhyming, blending, and segmenting CVC (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant) words as well as skills in mathematics such as identifying numbers, representing numbers using pictures, addition, and subtraction among others. Some of the materials can also be used to support multiple subjects such as phonemic awareness and writing simultaneously. I have also selected a couple of items to supplement my science instruction. I particularly would like to get the Life Science Kit to give my students the opportunity to show their understanding of the life cycle of butterflies, frogs, and chickens using these manipulatives. The rest of the materials will help them strengthen their fine motor skills and let their imagination run wild by creating fun and beautiful art projects.
