These art supply materials will be used to create an art therapy room for our students. The art therapy room will help our students face issues such as anxiety, depression, substance use, violence in the community, stress, PTSD, ADHD, ODD, eating disorders, cognitive impairments, anger, frustration, loss, family, or relationship issues. Art therapy sessions will allow our students to express their feelings not only verbally but also artistically. It will help them get in touch with their emotions or feelings in a safe way. Many of our students have a hard time experiencing difficulties discussing emotions and painful experiences. Art therapy would be a great way to help them express those feelings they are afraid to open up about.

About my class
