Just imagine, you're a student in my science class and you walk into my room. You start to sit down in your chair when you see that someone in the previous class left some unidentified something on your desk. The school provides sanitizing wipes, but they aren't supposed to come into contact with your skin. They provide paper towels, and the classroom has water, but the paper towels don't really do more than push whatever that unidentified gook is around more. You opt for the wipes because you don't have anything else to use, and now your desk is clean. I tell you to take out your laptop and you take it out, but even after charging it last night, it's starting to die. The only available outlets in the room are far away from your desk, and now you need to move your seat to another spot and you can't see the board. A nice long extension cord would really be helpful. Our students face multiple problems a day which prohibit effective learning. My goal is to get them everything they need to be successful in my class, and then some day in adulthood.
