These manipulatives will be used in a classroom setting making math easier to learn. Students are having trouble memorizing rules for add/sub/mult/dividing integers. The two color counters will help with understanding concept instead of relying on rote memorization. The algebra tiles will bridge gap between the concrete and abstract. Math should be hands on. My goal is to make the classroom feel more like a discovery lab and foster a love of math since it's so important in developing critical thinking skills. I am rearranging the room to incorporate group learning, providing social learning experiences to keep scholars engaged.
