These academic materials will give my specialized academic instruction students a hands on and engaging way to learn reading, writing, and math foundational skills. Many of my students struggle with streamline approaches to these core subjects but thrive when presented with tactile, game oriented alternatives. Having play based options allows my students to engage with peers and learn in a variety of modalities. They will use counting games to learn one to one correspondence and sequencing. They will use alphabet tubs and puzzle mats to learn letter names and sounds. They will use CVC games to learn the foundational words for reading.
