I would like to use video evidence to give feedback to my students and athletes in my PE and Weight training classes. In the weight room, using certain apps and the camera feature on the iPad would allow me to show students how to improve form and technique in the weight room so that they can maximize their results. I would also like to create a project in which the students are designing their own fitness routines and filming them on the iPad. Giving the students the opportunity to create and film their own exercise routines would bring a fresh project-based learning to our class. In PE, I would use video feedback from the iPad to coach students on how they can improve their form in certain sports. For instance, using the slow-motion camera feature when teaching students proper form on how to shoot a basketball, or swing a golf club, can really benefit student development in certain sports. Finally, as a PE teacher having a device that allows me to be as portable and mobile as possible is extremely helpful. Being able to pull up examples and videos for students to see right away would be a great tool to have to teach my students.
