These DIY (Do It Yourself) open source printers give students the opportunity to build and construct the basic parts of a standard 3D printer. This hands on experience will give students a better understanding of how these printers function, its basic parts and components, as well as direct access to problem solving when they malfunction or need maintenance. This is a unique learning experience they can not get with a more expensive enclosed 3D printers. These printers allow students to Build, Modify, Learn, Create and be their own Tech Support.
