Due to students missing instructional time due to Covid, the materials I am requesting will fill a specific developmental need as my 8th grade students progress on to high school biology. The technology will allow better classroom management and assistance. The supplies will be used to teach and guide students to build models related to the biological processes. In particular, mitosis and meiosis, mutations ,replication of cells. Students will be able to illustrate and model cellular division. MS-LS3-1 Heredity: Inheritance and Variation of Traits: Develop and use a model to describe why structural changes to genes located on chromosomes may affect proteins and may result in harmful, beneficial, or neutral effects to the organism.
