At our school, we have a new RTI ELA program that all of our students use every single day on their Chromebooks. The program is designed to determine what students are struggling with when it comes to reading, and ranges in skill level from Pre-K through 7th grade to meet our students where they are academically and to help them reach their academic growth goals by the end of the year. Currently, our students are not able to consistently access this program because we do not have enough functioning headphones for every student. It is my dream that all of my students are able to have equitable access to all of the resources and tools in our classroom so I can help guarantee that they successfully meet all of their academic growth goals this year - even something that seems as simple as a pair of headphones can be a game changer for a student in the classroom.
