I have large classes and a not-so-large classroom, so storage is a big issue. Too many students lose their artwork, or their wet paintings get smudged because other paintings get stacked on top of them. For many of my students, art class is the only time during the school day that they are able to express their feelings and work through difficult "things" (for lack of a better word) in a safe, constructive way. I want them to know that their creations will be protected and respected in my classroom. My dream is for each student to have a slot in a drying rack to store their in-progress paintings. Your donation would allow us to maximize our studio time (sometimes it takes students 5 minutes to find their work!) and keep precious artwork from being ruined.
