When students are able to work in a way that makes them physically comfortable, they are able to focus on the task at hand and produce quality work. Flexible seating is a way for students to choose what works for them, which also teaches them to find out more about their needs as a person. As students work, they can choose to use a traditional desk, a standing desk, a medicine ball so they can bounce quietly, or a gaming chair if they have earned a special reward. The ability to get their energy out quietly helps students focus.

About my class
