Our department often receives donated clothes that our students greatly need and appreciate, but we lack an organized and stylish way to display that clothes, so students are encouraged to browse the selection, and it does not look messy as students unfold clothes to see the size and the fit. The coat rack with help to solve that issue. The majority of the students are coming from warm countries, so cold winter comes as an unexpected surprise. We are fortunate to partner with Compassion Coalition that donates hats, gloves, and winter coats for students. However, when it comes to distributing the items, several students felt embarrassed to take items in front of others. I feel that having a coat rack will encourage more students to see taking donated items in a different light The art supplies will go to a student who is applying to Pratt (he is extremely talented), but his family does cannot afford the art supplies that he needs.
