These tablets will allow my students to go beyond the walls of the classroom and experience other countries and cultures through virtual field trips. My students will be able to research and publish their writing using technology rather than only using pencil and paper. This will prepare them for the coming years when most classrooms are one to one with devices. Most of my 4th graders have never been outside of our community and with the restrictions on travel because of the pandemic we are unable to take field trips. Receiving these tablets will help my students learn and experience the world outside our small community and help them build a better understanding of other cultures, traditions, and ways of life.
