I use literature when providing social-emotional learning. Authors take complex topics and make them accessible to children. Picture books provide a visual representation of those topics and help children link the text to real-life experiences. Words have power. Literature can have a profound impact on children. Helping children develop strong social-emotional skills to guide them towards becoming successful adult human beings. I've had wide success so far with fun and engaging stories. Students are more engaged when they are having fun. Thank you very much for your consideration.
