Many of my students struggle with social-emotional needs. They often seek a quiet, cozy, calm-down space to help regulate their thoughts, minds, and bodies. Some of my students have experienced unimaginable trauma that they have yet to heal from. They come to school every day carrying anger, hurt, and fear. They struggle to trust, struggle to make connections, and struggle with poor coping skills. Many of them are also struggling learners! I would love to provide them with a space where they can recollect and return to a mind where they are ready to learn.
