These books will provide my students new ways to connect and identify their own feelings and experiences and apply appropriate strategies to cope with their feelings though discussions, games, and use of visuals. My department has limited access to new books that are more engaging, relevant, and visually appealing to my students. These books are better geared to facilitate discussions and skill building for my students who have low-literacy skills, ESL barriers, as well as speech and language delays. My students cannot wait to see new books in my SEL library!
