I support my students in class during literacy and LOVE sharing with them my love of reading. Reading helps us build literacy, critical-thinking, and social-emotional skills. Books challenge us to expand our minds and explore new horizons. It's important to me that students are able to see themselves represented as they wander through the pages. I'm excited to share books with them, like "We Are Water Protectors," and "The ABCs of Black History." My hope is that my students will enjoy getting lost in a book and be inspired to chase new dreams and future possibilities in our big, wide world. "A book is a dream you hold in your hand." -Neil Gaiman.
