Group books sets will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. By having group sets of books students will be exposed to characters and can make connections between different text using specific details and story events (RI1.3) My students enjoy reading a variety of books together in groups which helps increase fluency and comprehension and fosters their independent reading. The best way to increase reading ability is to have guided practice with myself (the teacher) and read in small groups, or with a partner. These books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in reading a variety of books and this project will help enrich their experience with the printed word.
