I am requesting materials that will motivate students during their first in-person year back at school after the COVID-19 closure of 2020/2021. The materials listed in this project will assist us in creating a "Counselors' Corner" in the library, where students will be able to: 1) decompress using a variety of stress-relief aids; 2) view framed photographs of prior Green Valley HS commencement ceremonies; 3) practice gratitude via writing "Thank You" cards to people who have positively impacted them, and 3) view life-sized models of high school graduates wearing caps and gowns. Our students need to be able to visualize graduation and understand that obstacles can be overcome. The decorative items in this project will allow us to make the Counselors' Corner as inviting as possible.
