All students are given free breakfast, but whenever students are late or we are on a delayed schedule they are not given breakfast. Therefore I would like to have options available in my classroom to provide them with some sort of food to start their day. As we know, if our brains aren't food with nutritious food, then they're not going to work as well. I want to make sure all my students are given an equal playing field in the morning. Every day after recess we have snack time, but not every student is able to bring a snack from home. These snacks would allow every student to have something to eat during snack time to help them do their best. I know when I'm hungry it is hard to stay focused, which makes it that much difficult for kids when they are hungry. Food is so important for them throughout the day to give them the energy they need to be successful!
