These materials will make a difference in our students' learning by allowing them to visualize the aligned standards needed to succeed on required state tests. The school currently has an available monitor, but there is not an extra rolling/mobile TV/media cart to move its location. Therefore, I am only requesting a rolling/mobile TV cart along with a document camera. The technology requested can be used at the school or if needed, at home. Students will be able to read, see, and share writing methods on a daily basis. Also, having the camera will allow writing coaches to identify differences between creative writing and writing for tests with research simulation tasks or literary analysis. The daily writing and sharing will give them the "added value" of learning how to perform better on required state test writing. Our team believes test-prep for writing skills can be taught and will allow our students a better chance of succeeding on high-stakes testing, specifically the Louisiana LEAP and EOC (End Of Course) tests. A document camera will aid us and increase our students' learning outcomes if given the technology needed to teach and reach them where they are then move them into the next level of achievement.
